‘Team Proskos’ proud of Malbork 1-Star event success
2019 World Tour 1-Star - Malbork
Malbork, Poland, August 6, 2019. The World Tour 1-Star event held last week next to the iconic Malbork Castle in Poland was a major success, and not only because teams from the host country claimed the gold and bronze medals. “We all worked like a family. Everybody involved in the tournament was a member of our family or a close friend. That is why it worked in that way I think. Now, after the event has finished, I think it is a great story to tell,” says Marcin Szczechowicz from promoter Proskos.
“We all deliver the sport, with the help from the CEV, and we do it as a Proskos family for all people composing the Beach Volleyball community in Poland and Europe. We do it with passion,” he continues.
The event in Malbork attracted very large crowds and it included a number of side activities, such as yoga, Volleyball workshops, crossfit, a night show by a DJ and a concert, as well as fun games for children and a mini Beach Volleyball tournament specifically designed for the youngsters too.
Quite interestingly, the younger brother of Tournament Director Bartosz Sobstyl, Adam, delivered a 45 minutes crossfit workshop for little kids. The youngsters got to learn how to feel and treat their body, acquired knowledge about strength and agility in an understandable way and executed some simple exercises according to their own body weight.
