Countdown to #EuroBeachVolleyU22 continues in Jurmala
2018 CEV U22 Beach Volleyball European Championship
Jurmala, Latvia, July 20, 2018. The countdown towards the 2018 edition of the CEV U22 Beach Volleyball European Championship has started. On Tuesday, July 24, a press conference will be taking place at the iconic Beach Volleyball stadium on Majori beach to set the tone for the competition that will be running in Latvia’s most popular seaside resort from July 26 to 29.
CEV Vice President and Latvian Volleyball Federation (LVF) Vice President Maris Pekalis will be addressing the media, together with LVF President Atis Sausnitis and home stars Anastasija Kravcenoka and Tina Graudina, who claimed the gold medal from the 2016 edition of #EuroBeachVolleyU22.
The city of Jurmala will be playing host to a major international Beach Volleyball competition for the fifth consecutive year. As many as three men’s and three women’s teams will represent Latvia at the championship. Last year’s U22 European champions Nadezda Makroguzova and Svetlana Kholomina will be trying to retain the title they won in 2017 in Baden – while 2017 men’s gold medal winners Oleg Stoyanovskiy/Artem Yarzutkin of Russia have moved up to the ‘senior’ ranks.
Starting from Friday, July 20, any media planning to attend the event can apply for their accreditation via the online form available at
jurmala.beachvolley.com
. The deadline is set for July 25, 2018.
