#EuroBeachVolleyU20 proves constant growth of Beach Volleyball in Europe

Vulcano, Italy, September 7, 2017. CEV President Aleksandar Boričić honoured the future stars of European Beach Volleyball by visiting the #EuroBeachVolleyU20 on Thursday and explained why the organisation of the event on the picturesque island of Vulcano proves the steady growth of Beach Volleyball all over Europe.
There is no other place like Vulcano. Only on this iconic island, sports fans can enjoy Beach Volleyball on black sand with the impressive volcano of Stromboli in the background. No wonder, the small island in the bay of Messina has captured the imagination of millions of tourists from around the globe.
CEV President Aleksandar Boričić too, is convinced that the rising stars of European Beach Volleyball will soak in every single moment they spend on the island.
“I have already seen numerous outstanding Beach Volleyball locations, but I am sure Vulcano will take a very special place in the hearts of the big prospects of European Beach Volleyball here at the #EuroBeachVolleyU20,” he said.
The CEV President, furthermore, is confident that the 2017 edition of the #EuroBeachVolleyU20 will confirm and emphasise the constant growth of Beach Volleyball all over Europe.
“This year’s holding of the #EuroBeachVolleyU20 proves once again that the future of Beach Volleyball is bright and lies on many different shoulders in Europe. We have had under-age competitions in Austria, Italy, Norway, Russia, Slovenia, The Netherlands, and Turkey – just to mention a few of the many countries that have held such important events for the future of Beach Volleyball. We have many countries and Federations, who have what it takes to organise Beach Volleyball events at a top level. This is indispensable for the growth of the game,” he continued.
The CEV President is confident that the rising stars of European Beach Volleyball will delight the sports fans on Vulcano with Beach Volleyball at its finest.
“The players who made the #EuroBeachVolleyU20 are the best and most promising youngsters in Beach Volleyball at the moment. They represent the future of Beach Volleyball in Europe. We can look forward to junior Beach Volleyball at a top level,” Mr Boričić said.
The CEV President is already looking forward to a future collaboration with the local organisers from the breath-taking island of Vulcano. “Vulcano has proven that it has what it takes to organise top events. I hope we can strengthen the collaboration for future events – and hopefully enjoy some top senior events on this beautiful island too,” he concluded.
