• 8 Double Gender tournaments with 4 countries each per gender
• The tournaments have to be played even if less than 4 countries participate

• 4 Double Gender or 8 Single Gender tournaments with 6 countries each per gender
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranked qualify for the Zonal Phase per gender
• Countries coming from the same Sub Zonal pool can not play each other on the first day of the Zonal Phase

• 2 Double Gender tournaments with 8 countries each per gender
• All 1st ranked from the Zonal Phase do not play the Semifinal and are directly qualified for the Final
• All 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th ranked countries from the Zonal Phase are qualified for the Semifinal
• In case of additional vacancies (e.g. withdrawals) the best ranked country not yet qualified in the Country Ranking, after the last CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup – Zonal Phase tournament in 2011, will qualify for the Semifinal

• 2 Single Gender tournaments with 8 countries each per gender
• The 1st ranked countries from the Zonal Phase are qualified for the Continental Cup Final
• The 1st ranked countries from the Semifinal qualify for the Final
• Organizing country of the Final is directly qualified
• One of the two 2nd ranked countries from both Semifinals will be chosen depending on the Country Ranking on the 19th of June
• In case of free vacancies (e.g. withdrawal or NFs which have already obtained two quota places through the FIVB World Ranking) the additional spots will be filled according to the criteria listed hereafter:
  • The next best ranked country from the Semifinals will receive the spot
  • In case of a tie (e.g. two 3rd places) the Country Ranking on the 19th of June 2012 determines the allocation of that spot

General information:

• Playing country vs. country matches in a "best-of-five" format
• Each country participates with 2 teams per gender composed by 2 players each
• Men’s and Women’s competitions are separated
• In case of a tie after 4 matches a “Golden Set” until 15 points (with a 2 point lead) has to be played
• In case a “Golden Set” has to be played the Head of Delegation/captain of the country decides which athelete plays (Optional: this can be a combination of the 4 players from the same country)
