Swiss rookies AMRISWIL look forward to home premiere in Arbon
2017 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men

Amriswil, Switzerland, November 4, 2016. After the compelling 3-0 victory they claimed in Kosovo on Wednesday night, Switzerland’s national champions Volley AMRISWIL wait impatiently for their re-match with KV PËJA scheduled for Sunday, November 6. Wednesday’s match was a short one and it produced a clear-cut win for the Swiss team (25-16, 25-16, 25-15) which outplayed their opponent in every aspect of the game.

The match lasted for 135 minutes, but this figure includes 25 minutes resulting from two breaks due to technical faults. The game was attended by 500 spectators, who applauded the 3-0 win of the Swiss team in a fair and warm atmosphere.

As the arena in Amriswil does not comply with the requirements set for Champions League games, Volley AMRISWIL have to play their home match in an arena in Arbon, a small city that is about eight km from Amriswil, situated on the shores of the Lake of Constance. The team and the staff expect at least 500 fans to come out and support both teams. Swiss spectators are well-known to be fair and support all good actions, no matter if they are produced by the home team or the visitors.
