Posojilnica chases home glory at Middle European League Finals
News from the clubs

Bleiburg, Austria, March 8, 2014. Austria’s Posojilnica AICH/DOB will be hosting the Final Four tournament of this year’s Middle European League through March 11-12 at the Jufa Arena in Bleiburg. The hosts of Posojilnica – who this season debuted in the CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – will be joined by Slovenia’s multiple champions ACH Volley LJUBLJANA, Slovakia’s champions Chemes HUMENNE as well as by the rising power in Austrian Volleyball, VCA Hypo AMSTETTEN.

ACH Volley LJUBLJANA will be playing VCA Hypo AMSTETTEN in the first semifinal scheduled for March 11 before Posojilnica takes on Chemes HUMENNE for the second game of the day. The Final Four tournament of the Middle European League is supposed to turn into a real Volleyball party for everyone who is living in Bleiburg and its surroundings. The organizers have planned some special entertainment for the fans attending the matches including the traditional “Cevapcici Party” while the official mascot of Posojilnica, AIDO, will be distributing yellow and blue-colored ice-creams to match the corporate identity of the hosting team.

“After our participation in this year’s CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League which turned into a huge success, our sight is now set on the main goal for this season,” says head coach Martin Micheu. “We want to win the Final Four tournament and become this year’s MEVZA champions.”

While hoping that many fans will flock to the Jufa Arena to boost the home heroes on their way to a first title in the competition, the organizers proudly announce that all matches of the Final Four tournament will be televised live on ORF Sport+.
