Inaugural CEV European Snow Volleyball Championships set to reach global audience
2018 CEV Snow Volleyball European Championship
Wagrain-Kleinarl, Austria, March 23, 2018. The first ever CEV European Snow Volleyball Championships is set to reach a global audience as it was confirmed today that international broadcasters and online platforms around the world are going to broadcast the event.
In addition to the finals being broadcast live on ORF Sport+ and shown subsequently on Eurosport 2 and Eurosport Asia Pacific, a number of additional broadcasters have been confirmed including:
• Reuters TV (worldwide except Austria)
• Sportdeutschland TV (Germany)
• SportItalia (Italy, San Marino, Vatican)
• IKO Kabelteve Kft (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Former Y.R. of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro)

In addition, the event is being streamed online on SNTV, Laola1.tv, TV Start, the Lithuanian Volleyball Federation, and the CEV’s Snow Volleyball Facebook and YouTube pages.
The significant global coverage of the inaugural event, which got underway today, reinforces the rapidly growing interest in Snow Volleyball and will provide an excellent platform to engage more people than ever before in the sport. The European Championships is a major milestone in the development of Snow Volleyball with the FIVB and CEV working closely to develop the sport in the region as the FIVB aims to become the world’s number one family sport.

A total of 24 men’s and 24 women’s teams are competing in the inaugural European Snow Volleyball Championships. Today’s action saw the pool matches take place ahead of tomorrow’s elimination round, with the finals set for Sunday, March 25.
