01/02/2016 11:46 Three stops and astounding locations for inaugural CEV Snow Volleyball Tour News from the CEV Luxembourg, February 1, 2016. 2016 is a breakthrough year for Snow Volleyball. For the first time in history, the annual Snow Volleyball Tour is going to be officially supported by the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV). This close cooperation means a more professional approach to the sport and an increased level of exposure for Snow Volleyball at all levels. Individual event wins and a prestigious overall victory supported by prize money are a great motivation to fight for. The eventual winners will be awarded as the first CEV Snow Volleyball champions in history. Prize Money (the amounts listed below apply to both men and women): 1st place: 400€ 2nd place: 200€ 3rd place: 100€ 4th place: 100€ Each tournament will take place on 4 courts – one centre court and 3 side courts in three well-known ski resorts: Spindleruv Mlyn in the Czech Republic, Wagrain-Kleinarl in Austria and Kronplatz / Plan de Corones in Italy. The competition will run through two days starting with a qualification round on Day 1 where all registered teams will fight for the right to continue their campaign the following day. The three events will all be featuring 32 men’s and 16 women’s teams. The top eight men’s and top four women’s pairs will qualify for the final stages of the competition to be contested on the second and last day of action. You can start looking forward to a breath-taking atmosphere and a stunning Volleyball experience!
