CEV School Project officially launched in Belarus!
News from the National Federations
Minsk, Belarus, October 13, 2020. The Secondary School No. 52 in Minsk hosted this past Saturday, October 10, the kick-off event in the implementation of the CEV’s School Project ‘Play Volleyball - Grow with it’ as the Republic of Belarus joins an already impressive list of countries hoping to inspire the next generation of Volleyball players through this programme.
The Secretary General of the Belarus Volleyball Federation Ms Ala Teterina, presented balls and a net provided by the CEV to the school’s young Volleyball players. The kids could immediately test their skills in a series of drills, before a friendly match involving young rescuers and pupils of the sports school run by the Volleyball club Minsk took place on the new volleyball court of the school. The students of the sports school emerged victorious after a very close fight – and all participants received some souvenirs prepared by the Belarus Volleyball Federation specifically for the occasion.
The staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations helped create a truly special and festive atmosphere for all involved. After the match, there were many activities for children and their parents, including a dog show, an exhibition of fire trucks and motorcycles, a smoke tent, an articulated lift, fire equipment, and interactive safety training zones.
The Belarus Volleyball Federation has made plans to promote Volleyball at school across the whole country, with the necessary equipment transferred to the city of Mogilev already. In early November, the next such school Volleyball party will be taking place there!
