Despite many restrictions, CEV School Project still serves its purpose in North Macedonia
News from the National Federations
Skopje, North Macedonia, September 20, 2020. Despite the difficult circumstances due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Volleyball Federation of North Macedonia continue their work for the CEV School Project, this time with participation of many talented girls from the Vardar EM Volleyball club. Considering the restrictions and the health protocols in place, and the fact that it is still summer and the weather conditions allow outdoor activities, training sessions took place along the banks of the Vardar River.
“We are glad that we gathered a few girls and especially with the fact that we could show them the basic elements of the Volleyball game. No matter the situation, we must continue to do what is necessary to influence our future as much as possible. That is why I am happy that in this period we managed to talk to the girls about what Volleyball really is and what it represents,” said Emilija Janicic, who runs the club together with Mirjana Stefanovska.
“We hope that these extraordinary circumstances will end as soon as possible and that we will return to normal. You could see that the girls have a strong desire for continuous training, and we as coaches will try to bring the game to them as close as possible. When we return to the hall, we would like to have even more interested girls than before,” said Stefanovska.
The difficulties are still there, but the enthusiasm stands strong. For now, that is quite enough, the CEV School Project continues to fulfil the essence, and that is to spread the Volleyball game as much as possible.
