From mid-September, Nico will definitely return to play indoors and do so for TSV Jona Volleyball.
After spending five seasons together, Nico Beeler and Marco Krattiger have decided to take different paths. With Marco Krattiger continuing his Beach Volleyball journey together with Florian Breer, Nico Beeler will play with Leo Dillier until the end of the season in mid-September. The Beeler/Krattiger duo won a silver medal at the 2014 edition of the U22 European Championship in Fethiye, Turkey, and in 2019 won the 3-star tournament in Edmonton, Canada, the highlight of their career. Moreover, they finished in fifth place at the 2018 edition of EuroBeachVolley held across four cities in the Netherlands.
Nico Beeler is delighted to return to playing indoors: “I had unforgettable moments with Marco, but I am now looking forward to returning to the indoor game. My mid-term goal is to be able to join the Swiss national team.” Next season Beeler will join his home club TSV Jona Volleyball where he will play in the highest division of the Swiss national league (LNA).
Marco Krattiger also has fond memories of the years he spent together with Nico and looks forward to the challenges that lie ahead: “I had five incredible seasons and could celebrate great achievements with Nico. Now, I look forward to giving it my all with Flo and to securing a ticket to the re-scheduled Tokyo 2020 Olympics through the Continental Cup. I wish Nico the best for his transition from the sand back to the indoor courts.”
