Luxembourg. July 2, 2020. When American setter Carli Lloyd was asked "who is the best setter in the world?", during an episode of CEV's Unscripted series, she did not seem to hesitate one bit in nominating Nootsara Tomkom, one of Thailand's biggest stars. Besides the position they occupy on the volleyball court and their undeniable qualities, Carli and Nootsara have another thing in common, as they both played in the Turkish League to great success.

Nootsara Tomkom, now age 35, made her debut in Thailand's national team almost two decades ago. Throughout the years she has helped her team win 10 South East Asian Games gold medals, 2 Asian Championship gold medals, 1 Asian Cup gold medal and a multitude of silver and bronze medals to go along with those achievements. At club level she has contributed greatly in winning the Turkish League and the Turkish Cup with Fenerbahce, as well as the CEV Champions League bronze medal with Rabita Baku from Azerbaijan.
Nootsara has also won a lot of individual awards, with the most notable one being selected as the Best Setter in the CEV Champions League (2013-2014). She is widely regarded as being one of the best setters in the world.
