As for the premiere of their Beach Volleyball tournament, the IVVA have introduced the following age categories:
Men: 40-49, 50+
Women: 34-44, 45+
The IVVA’s main goal is to unite Volleyball ‘veterans’ from all over the world through the organisation of sports events and tournaments allowing them to test their skills on the international stage. The activities of the association and the tournament itself coming up later this year are under the auspices of the Middle European Volleyball Zonal Association (MEVZA).
“We sincerely believe that age is not a limit for players. Teams from all around the world get to compete with one another in events where professional organisation, rules and overall approach are essential to their success,” says former Beach Volleyball star Premysl Kubala, IVVA Vice-President.
