Craigavon Aztecs complete historic sweep of men’s titles in Northern Ireland
News from the National Federations
Belfast, Northern Ireland, May 3, 2019. Craigavon Aztecs won the Men’s Northern Ireland (NIR) Volleyball Cup Tournament at the weekend beating Ballymoney Blaze 3-1 in a closely fought final.
This completes a clean sweep of the three domestic men’s Volleyball titles for the first time ever - the County Armagh men were League Champions and League Cup winners already - and now Cup winners as well. This adds to their women’s club winning their NIR Cup and the Division 1 League titles.
It is quite a Volleyball sweep for the “Orchard County” of Northern Ireland. Pictured above (from left) are Aztecs’ Daddies Club Coach Callum Grieve, Captain Mark Fulton, and Club Chairman Paul McIlwaine with the new generation of Aztecs in their arms.
