Viewers from 50 countries follow well-executed U17 NEVZA Championships in Denmark
News from the Zonal Associations
Ikast, Denmark, October 22, 2018. The interest in the U17 NEVZA Volleyball Championships held last week in Ikast reached a lot further than the eight participating countries. Viewers from 50 countries followed the tournament on Volleyball Denmark’s own streaming channel, VolleyTV.dk.
The U17 NEVZA tournament in Ikast offered four tightly packed days with lots of great Volleyball.
As many as 3,800 unique viewers followed the fight for the medals during the four days online at VolleyTV.dk. Of course, the interest was largest among the NEVZA countries - Denmark, Norway, Greenland, Faroe Islands, Finland, Sweden, Iceland and England - but people from as many as 50 countries across the globe tuned in.
Volleyball Denmark’s media consultant, Casper Ahlehoff Hansen, produced all the matches on Volley TV, and he is pleased with the many viewers: “It is lovely to see so many nationalities on Volley TV. I am proud, that Volleyball Denmark can offer such a good product, free of charge, to so many viewers,” he says.
The participating countries have praised the Danish delivery of the tournament, and that pleased Tournament Director Sven Brix: “It has been a pleasure to host the U17 NEVZA tournament in Denmark. We have played 40 matches in four days and the sports halls have been full of sweat, joy, disappointments, efforts and performance,” he says.
