In the first match of the day we will see Italy's Savino Del Bene Scandicci face Khimik Yuzhny from Ukraine on home court. Both teams have qualified into the 2nd Round following conclusive wins, with Savino Del Bene Scandicci seeing off the challenge of Tent Obrenovac without losing a single set, while Khimik Yuzhny emerged victorious from the Ukrainian battle against SC "Prometey" Kamyanske. With European matches already under these teams' belts for this season, fans have high expectations for an entertaining encounter right from the start.
The second match of the day sees two teams who have gained their spot in the 2nd Round following the forfeit of the matches by their opponents, Hapoel Kfar Saba and Mladost Zagreb respectively, due to COVID-19 restrictions imposed by local authorities. Thus, LKS Commercecon Lodz and Calcit Volley Kamnik will be getting on the court for a Champions League match for the first time this season.
