Romania ready for comeback in Silver League finals

Alexandria, Romania, June 27, 2019. The players of the Romanian women’s national team are confident before their re-match with Slovenia in the finals of the CEV Volleyball European Silver League 2019. After Tuesday’s four sets loss, the Romanian team still believe in their chances. With more consistency in reception and more power in attack, Romania have a strong possibility to send the match into a Golden Set.
The Italian head coach of Romania, Luciano Pedullà said: “It will be a tough match for us but we try to stay focussed and will play point by point and create some difficulties to Team Slovenia. In the previous game, we were very close to winning another two sets. We want to raise our level compared to what we did in Slovenia and most of all play with more concentration and efficiency in attack. I trust my team and hopefully we play as good as we can and win the Silver League.”
Ariana-Cristina Pîrv, outside hitter of Romania: “After the first match, we know more. I believe in my teammates and I hope for a perfect match Friday in Alexandria. The game will be difficult, but we are extra motivated. I really hope many fans will come to Alexandria to support us in this decisive match. Slovenia were better Tuesday, but Friday I hope it is our turn to smile.”
Romanian television channel TVR will be broadcasting the match, starting from 5:00 pm local time.
