Lesson learned from 2017 setback pivotal towards TRENTINO #CEVCupM success
2019 CEV Volleyball Cup - Men

Trento, Italy, March 28, 2019. TRENTINO Itas completed on Tuesday their collection of international trophies and did so by taking the 2019 CEV Volleyball Cup – Men crown at the expense of Turkey’s Galatasaray ISTANBUL. The reigning club world champions banished the demons from the 2015 and 2017 finals that they had lost at the Golden Set to Dinamo MOSCOW and TOURS VB, respectively.

“I think that the experience of the final match we lost in Tours in 2017 has been very useful during the toughest moment of the second matchup with Galatasaray,” commented the coach of TRENTINO Itas Angelo Lorenzetti. “On that occasion we did not stick together while facing some difficulties, while this time we were able to react and did so as a real team. This victory is important in many ways; for sure, we are not talking about the Champions League but in the last years taking this trophy has never been easy and now we hold it.”

TRENTINO Itas travelled back to Italy on Wednesday afternoon and starting from Thursday evening, the 2019 CEV Cup winners will start preparing for the Playoffs of their national league – as they are due to play Kioene PADOVA on Sunday, March 31 in the first round of the quarterfinals.
