Robin de Kruijf joins CEV Media Team
2017 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Women

Treviso, Italy, April 23, 2017. Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO middle blocker Robin de Kruijf sat down with the CEV Media Team to follow the second semi-final at the women`s CEV Champions League Final Four.  De Kruijf suffered an ankle injury in the second part of the club season, missing out all recent matches. After eventually admitting that she is not ready to join her team on the court, the Dutch star agreed to follow and comment on the semi-final between her team Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO and Dinamo MOSCOW on the CEV Champions League social media accounts.

Greeted by many of her current and former teammates, the Dutch middle blocker began to share her thoughts on the match and answered a few questions that came from fans following the match from home. Minutes before the kick-off she jumped out to sign autographs and chat quickly with some of the local fans of Imoco Volley, as well as her previous team, and another finalist, VakifBank ISTANBUL.

It was then in her hands to provide fans with updates and her insight on the action, from her position in the media tribune.

She appreciated not only the support in Palaverde Villorba, but her team’s opponents Dinamo MOSCOW. Concerned about their awakening, she couldn’t hide her respect for Nataliya Goncharova, who led her team in the attempt to extend Dinamo’s chances for the final. Robin also had some fun using the official photos from the match:

As the match wore on she started to turn the tables on the followers by asking them questions:

...and before she knew it, her team were victorious:

In the euphoria that filled Palaverde after the last ball, Robin de Kruijf suggested to interview her own teammates after the match. You can watch the result of that below.

Thank you for your time Robin!

Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO will fight for gold against VakifBank ISTANBUL at 18:00 CET. Three hours earlier, at 15.00 CET, Dinamo MOSCOW and Eczacibasi VitrA ISTANBUL will compete to bring home the bronze medal.
