French rookies CHAUMONT VB 52 poised to play historic European final
2017 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Men

Chaumont, France, April 10, 2017. The players, coaching staff and fans of CHAUMONT VB 52 are living their dream – the French rookies are just about to play the first leg of the 2017 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Men Finals as on Wednesday, April 12 they host Fakel NOVY URENGOY before the rematch with the 2016 silver medallists follows later this week in Russia.

CHAUMONT VB 52 caused quite a sensation in the semis where Stephen Boyer & Co. beat Turkey’s pre-favourite Ziraat Bankasi ANKARA before progressing to the semi-finals of the French national league as well after edging Stade Poitevin POITIERS.

On Wednesday night, CHAUMONT VB 52 will host a historic European final takin on Fakel NOVY URENGOY, a Russian team whose roster includes a number of rising Volleyball stars such as Egor Kliuka and Dmitrii Volkov. The match will take place in Paris in order to accommodate for more fans and the home players expect many supporters to show up as they vie for what would be a truly historic achievement for the club and for French Volleyball as well.
