EEVZA #EuroVolleyU17M qualifier coming up soon in Tbilisi
CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship - Men

Tbilisi, Georgia, March 7, 2021. The Georgian Volleyball Federation is ready to host the EEVZA qualifier for the 2021 edition of the U17 Men’s European Championship. After a one-year break to international competition following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, everyone involved in the organisation of the tournament – from staff to volunteers, referees and line judges – look forward to hosting the eight participating teams.

Despite the absence of spectators in response to the pandemic, the EEVZA qualifier has already drawn much attention from Georgian media, including TV stations. The organisers have been working hard to provide a bio-secure bubble and comply with all the COVID-19 guidelines provided by CEV, EEVZA and the relevant Georgian health authorities.

The competition starting on Tuesday, March 9, features eight teams – with Armenia, Belarus, hosts Georgia and Ukraine featuring in Pool A, as Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Russia compose Pool B. The eventual winners of the EEVZA qualifier will secure their participation in the Final Round scheduled for July 10-18 in Albania. The organisers hope to witness many exciting matches and the ‘birth’ of future Volleyball stars despite the very challenging times that we are all living in since the outbreak of the global health crisis.
