Cyprus delight continues at #EuroBeachVolleyU20
2015 CEV U20 Beach Volleyball European Championship

Larnaka, Cyprus, September 2, 2015. Home heroes Georgios Chrysostomou and Pantelis Christidis ended the first day of their campaign at the 2015 CEV U20 Beach Volleyball European Championship the way they started it, with a win, and what a win it was for the Cyprus men’s team. After the major upset they caused in the morning, upsetting the Swedes Link/Molin, Chrysostomou and Christidis beat also Amit Masuri and Shani Cohen of Israel in three dramatic sets (21-17, 25-27, 15-12).

“This win belongs 100% to my partner Georgios, as I didn’t play as well as I played in the morning.  Maybe the stress got into me. This is something I really need to analyse with my coach,” said Christidis, the smiling boy of the Cyprus team.

“I don’t agree with Pantelis. This was a group effort, as we both tried our best to get our second win of the day. I would like to say a big thank you to the fans, as they helped us a lot especially in the final set.”
